NAGOYA UNION CHURCH
NAGOYA UNION CHURCH
A SMALL CHURCH WITH A BIG LOVE FOR GOD
(By Lady Imagawa)
To love is to contribute. To love is to sacrifice.
Good morning Nagoya Union Church. I am sure you find the title a bit interesting compared to others. Maybe some of you know what this Greek word means (koinonia), but if not, it’s okay. This word means Christian fellowship or communion with God or, more commonly, with fellow Christians.
When we find a church and we go to one every Sunday we feel connected to our God more and when we share our faith with our brothers and sisters in Christ we feel a bit more encouraged. We have been hosting an online care group twice a month and it has really been doing so well. So if you want to join please let me (Lady) or anyone in church know so we can connect with you.
Our church may be small in number but it cannot be any less real than others. Although we do not compare ourselves to other churches as we all know the church is the people of God, we can boast that in our church we have someone that we can call a friend, someone who can pray for you and with you. (If you do not feel this way, please do not hesitate to approach our Pastors). Belonging to a community is really important but when you feel you belong to a community who follows Jesus is the best to live a life that glorifies God. Partnering with God to show people what it is like to really live life with the Lord here on earth is not easy, especially when you are alone. But when you share your life, talents, time and all that you can give to honor God you are definitely on the right track. I greatly encourage you today to make yourself feel at home when in church, let people know how they can pray for you, ask someone how you can pray for them. We are one family after all, wanting and yearning to serve our King!
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
(I Corinthians 1:9-10) NKJV
